Itinerary
Upon arrival at the Srinagar airport, our tour representative will be there to meet and assist you with transfer to the hotel/houseboat. Once you have completed the check-in formalities, the tour will begin with a delicious lunch followed by a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, which is a must-do activity in Srinagar. The ride will be on a direct payment basis. Next, you will visit the beautiful Mughal Gardens, which are a collection of gardens built during the Mughal era, including Nishat Bagh, Chashme-e-Shahi and Shalimar Bagh. These gardens are famous for their stunning views and intricate designs. You will spend the night in Srinagar.
On the second day of the tour, after breakfast, you will begin your journey to Kargil. Along the way, there will be several stops including Sonamarg, a picturesque valley with lush green views and snow-capped peaks, the Zojila Pass, a high altitude mountain pass, and the Drass Village, which is considered the second coldest inhabited place in the world. During the visit to Drass village, you will visit the War Memorial Hall and Museum, also known as Vijaypath, which is dedicated to the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army who lost their lives in the Kargil War. Upon arrival in Kargil in the evening, you will complete the check-in formalities. On the following day, after breakfast, you will set out on a drive to Leh. Continuing the journey, you will stop at the Magnetic Hill, which is a natural wonder, and at Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, a memorial built in honor of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru. After that, you will continue your drive to Leh. Upon arrival in Leh, you will visit the Hall of Fame Museum, which is a war memorial built by the Indian Army to honor the soldiers who lost their lives in Indo-Pak wars. After completing check-in formalities at the hotel, the evening is free for you to explore the markets of Leh and enjoy the majestic landscapes. You will spend the night in Leh.
On the next day, you will have a leisurely day without any planned activities. You can either relax in the comfort of your hotel or choose to explore the local market of Leh. It is important to note that since Leh is located at a high altitude, it is important to take the necessary precautions to acclimatize to the altitude such as taking sufficient rest, drinking fluids, and moving around. You should use this day to rest and get acclimatized before continuing on the trip. You will spend the night in Leh.
On the fifth day of your Leh Ladakh tour, after breakfast, you will proceed to one of the most beautiful places in the region, the Nubra Valley. The journey will take you over the Khardungla Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at an altitude of 18,380 feet. After reaching Nubra Valley, you will check into the hotel. Following lunch, you will leave the hotel to enjoy a ride on a double-humped camel to explore the sand dunes between Diskit and Hunder village.
